|More about DEFERR Gervasio:|
|He was the only gymnastics Champion to confirm his Olympic title from Sydney to Athens ! On vault !
In Sydney 2000 he became Olympic Champion on Vault before even having had celebrated his 20th birthday (He was born on 7th November 1980). It was not a big surprise for those who have followed his rush into the international stage, his breaking into the senior level (1999 World silver medal on Floor in Tianjin) and his continuous push towards victories (two gold medals on Vault in the 1999 Grand Prix series, in Glasgow and Stuttgart).
He has got a one year suspension for smoking canabis and his world medals in 2002. He did come back on top shape in time for the 2004 Olympiccs.
In size and power, his body configuration is the one of a born tumbler. This has been spotted on time, since he got involved with gymnastics at the age of 5. The rest was the mastering of a born talent, by a coach as skilful as Alfredo Hueto.
Gervasio is a true, free spirit, temperamental Spaniard, to whom future belong.
Hobbies: Dancing, fishing and sleeping.
