Monica listens to all types of music be it Italian or international. In the movies she has no preferred type of film but her favourite actor is Robin Williams in "Patch Adams" Powerful, dynamic and very competitive gymnast! Monica Bergamelli, was a member of the National Junior Team of the country, who threw a sensation at the European Championships in St.Petersburg 1998, when the young Italians defeated the mighty Russian hosts on their home ground. (1. Ukraine 2. Romania 3. Italy 4. Russia). As an individual she then won the Silver medal on the A. Bars- her strongest apparatus. Bergamelly wrote her name against the 15th position in the All- Around of the 1999 World Championships in Tianjin, thus achieving a record for the Italian Women's gymnastics, since 1954. Her best friend is Irene Castelli, also a member of the Italian team.
