| More about SHEWFELT Kyle: | |||
| Kyle Shewfelt will for ever stay in the minds.
Olympic Champion on the floor in 2004 at the Olypmic Games in Athens, he offered the firs World Gold medal to Canada. Because of that, he has been chosen as favorit gymnast in 2004 and it seems that his career is very active. He got lots of experience through World Cups and at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000. After the training, Kyle likes to spend time with close friends and also to be alone to think about a lot of things. He liked the film "American Beauty", because it shows a lot of thing from the real everyday life. Kyle brought the first Olympic medal in artistic gymnastic to Canada ever, winning the Floor final in Athens 2004 ! Kyle Shewfelt is currently the biggest international star of Canadian Gymnastics, coming off two bronze medals at the last World Championships. He has been coached by Kelly Manjak since age six. Gymnastics is Shewfelt's life: "I have been very dedicated to my sport", he said. "I take it very seriously and I don't think you can get anywhere if you don't make sacrifices" Kyle is an extraordinary talent on Floor and Vault and gymnastics experts are unanimous that his greatest achievements are still to come. Very elegant, great difficulty in his programme. Family: Father is a banker; mother works as a school aid, older brother Scott FIG - September 04 |
